The way he emphasizes his speech is also annoying, how it appears that he thinks every single thing he says is some kind of fundamental truth no matter how mundane a topic or point he brings up..

Well, just about everything he ever talks about is some kind of fundamental truth about the world we live in, I can sympathize with your objection to how he talks, but if you can stand it, or ignore its peculiarity, I strongly recommend his TEDtalks lecture on the Large Hadron Collider , one of the best presentations I have ever seen. Enjoy, if you can

Limbaugh: "So We Stand By The Fabricated Quote..."
>> ^quantumushroom:
What's great about this is Obamalinsky is still hiding his real college papers.

If they weren't likely filled with the exact same anti-American, pro-commie sentiments as the fake, they'd already be public domain.

What's the fraudsident hiding?

What would it matter if they were public? it wouldnt matter if they were a long gigantic salute to the Reagan/bush doctrine to people like you because YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT FACTS ANYWAY. To people like Hannity, Beck,Limbaugh or O'Reilly, it costs nothing to make shit up and believe it yourself, only to be proven wrong by the facts, and then CONTINUE to believe in your made up shit. This quote by Limbaugh captures the essence of such attitude: Obama was indoctrinated in a Madrassa, he is a muslim, he was not born in the US, he is a communist, he wants to kill the elderly, he hates america and the constitution, he is a liar, and so on and so on, All of the above have again and again been shown to be false, yet you still parrot this bullshit as if it was obviously true. Its not fucking true. stop being such a fucking boneheaded moron, pull your head out of your ass, and READ THE FUCKING FACTS. Want to slam Obama for his policies, behaviour, ideology or ideas, fine, thats completely fair, but get the fucking facts straight, stop making shit up and check your facts, and even us liberals will listen to you, I promise.

Hosting YOUR Next Party with Windows 7...riiight
Holy shit. its like microsoft has been collecting cheeziness since the 80's to make the ultimate cheezy video. They badly need a new PR department. this is the worst ever of anything. ever. And what kind of group is this anyway? A white nerd, a housewife and an older lady, and of course a black guy out of the blue to score some extra diversity-points. Jesus fucking Christ this was horrible.

Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) humbles Hudson Institute dilettante
There is no such thing as 'free' care'. This is a neolib myth that only exists in the realm of pink unicorns or flying spaghetti monsters. Socialized medicine is - in fact - very very expensive for all citizens.

No, THIS is a myth in the land of pink unicorns, the US government TODAY spends MORE on healthcare then countries that have free healthcare google+ government spending on healthcare per capita by country <--pick any result you want, in every case, the US comes out on top of the spending on healthcare issue. How the fuck does this mean " Socialized medicine is - in fact - very very expensive for all citizens." Clearly, its not expensive AT ALL, In actual fact, it is, by all accounts cheaper than YOUR OWN FUCKING SYSTEM, and how the fuck does that contribute to bankruptcies?
The 40% of American bankruptcies that WASNT caused by medical bills also presumably paid taxes of which MORE money was spent on healthcare than in ALL socialized medicine countries. So in other words, by your logic then, 100% of all bankruptcies in America are atleast partially because of medical costs.

Amazon confuses Ray Comfort with Charles Darwin
>> ^EmptyFriend:
so is it fixed or what? i went to amazon and searched for "origin of species" and the first result is still the ray comfort version is still the #1 result, but it has a 1 star rating, and shows that 20/21 reviews for it were all 1 star.

seems fixed.

The problem is only partially fixed. They have now assigned the right reviews to the right books, but one major problem remains, that when you are searching for "origin of species" the first result is this fake creationist version, deceivingly and mockingly titled "150th Anniversary Edition", the same as the real version with the Julian Huxley introduction. Even worse, the "Huxley version" is completely left off the results page!

Any honestly interested person wanting to familiarize themselves with Darwins masterpiece should not get this mockery of a book as their first result. It should be renamed "Unofficial Creationist Retard Edition", and be shuffled to the bottom of the deck.

Alan Grayson on Bill Maher

If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it's free

I live in a country where it IS free, and its less expensive. How clearly is is possible to spell it out to you without you getting it:
Here's a list of government-spent $ per capita on healthcare, I took this from http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0934556.html but just about anywhere you look will give you the same kinds of result. this is from 2007, the most recent I found:

Iceland 3,294
Norway 4,080
Australia 3,123
Canada 3,173
Ireland 2,618
Sweden 2,828
Switzerland 4,011
Japan 2,293
Netherlands 3,092
France 3,040
Finland 2,203

This is how much the respective governments spends(our taxes at work) on healthcare per person. Each and every one of these countries provide free, universal healthcare for all their citizens, wether they have insurance or not (which you are welcome to buy) or whether they pay taxes or not.

So what about the US you say?

United States 6,096

Almost twice what many others pay.

No government spends more taxes on healtcare than the US government spends

Yet, US citizens have to pay private companies for most healthcare they actually get. Either by paying the doctor/hospital directly, or by paying private insurance companies.

How the hell is that cheaper than "free"??

Most healtcare, compared to US "healthcare", is actually cheaper than free.

Bill Maher - New Rules (Oct 16, 2009)
>> ^cybrbeast:
I really like Bill Maher, but I hope he takes his time off to ponder his stance on real medicine and alternative medicine.

Michael Shermer from Skeptic's Magazine wrote an open letter on the subject to Bill Maher. I hope he listens.
http://richarddawkins.net/article,4465,An-Open-Letter-to-Bill-Maher-on-Vaccinations,Michael-Shermer

Hear, hear, Bill Maher is batshit crazy when it comes to vaccines and medicine, ranking right up there with the reality-deniers he makes fun of.
