Dark Clouds - Flight of the Ladybug

" A short I did in my spare time while working on the films 'Avatar' and '2012'. This is the version I sent out to festivals, with a longer cut, and new music."

"For those curious; The whole thing was done on my laptop. The live action is a mix of stuff I shot on my Canon 5D and some stock footage I found for a bargain (smoke and lightening). The 3D was done in Maya and Blastcode. Comped in Shake and After Effects. Had I worked on it exclusively, it would have taken about 10 weeks."
