Ray's work is an inspiration to all the animators out there today...both traditional stop motion AND CGI. And to think he worked blind on these things. Meaning that he would shoot a whole reel of film and not see what it looked like until it was developed, if there was a mistake he had to go back and do the whole think over! With the more modern films they at least have a video-preview of the work that they can constantly refer to as they're working.
